When the Rock Chick first contacted me about writing for the blog, she was worried she wouldn’t be needed as we ‘already had a lesbian Experimental Dater’ (in the form of The New Realist), however the whole point of the Experimental Daters is to showcase a number of different perspectives on dating. and just because the Rock Chick and New Realist are both gay does’t mean they share the same views on dating. Ideal Partner – My main requirement is that they are outgoing/an extrovert (i.e. my opposite or perhaps complement). Someone spontaneous, to urge me out of my comfort zone. Why do you think you’re single? – Because I recently (OK, not that recent, but it can still feel that way) came out of a long-ish relationship. Unconsciously at first, but increasing consciously, I have been learning to appreciate my own and my friends’ company, and to have fun. It’s going well. I am also pretty good at being independent – I’m an only child…

What do you find least attractive in a date? – Arrogance. Pessimism.

Best Ever Date – A Masked Ball with a new partner. It was magical.
