Experimental Dater Twenty-Eight – The Coincidental Dater
New year, new Experimental Daters! This lady first got in touch with me to tell me she’d been following the blog from its early days. She’d gone on a date, only for the boy involved to mention he’d been involved in a ‘dating challenge’. Our new ED asked if it had been ‘with Miss Twenty-Nine, for the 30 Dates Challenge’, and The Skype Date went rather pale!
And so the Coincidental Dater was born! Let’s see what she has to say for herself!
Miss Twenty-Nine xxx
Blog Name – The Coincidental Dater
Age – 32
Location – London, England
Relationship Status – Single
Sexuality – Straight female
Religion – Brought up as a Christian but it doesn’t really feature in my life
Height – 5ft6
Body Type – slim/athletic
Job – Fund Management
Education – Undergraduate degree
Hobbies – Skiing, tennis (I’m rubbish but working on it), windsurfing – strictly fair to tropical weather, running, socializing. I love long, welly-booted, country walks but this doesn’t happen much in London! Oh and let’s not forget coffee, champagne and good food.
Ideal Partner – I like guys who are outgoing, fun and intelligent . A guy who is not afraid of telling me to shut up from time to time when I’m being an idiot (rare but it does happen 😉 ) and so I like confidence but with an awareness of others and kindness. I’m not into those guys who spend hours in the gym and obsess about the way they look, it’s good to take care of yourself and the way you look to an extent but it’s not my number one priority in life rather family and friends.
Longest Relationship – 2 years but that was quite on-and-off and we wanted different things from life
Why do you think you’re single? Well my friends would tell you I’m too picky but I think I’ve just not met the right person yet! I’m relaxed, sociable and make friends easily but I don’t often find a man who catches my attention.
Good Relationship Traits – I’m very considerate and caring and it’s important to me that this is two way however I am laid back and not high maintenance. I am independent so will never be one of those people who is glued to their partner.
Bad Relationship Traits – I very rarely find a man attractive (emotionally) and so when I do, I assume the guy is in a similar situation and put too much pressure on it too soon.
How would you describe the way you date? – I’ll happily go on a first date, I’m happy to meet most people, within reason, for a drink as first date (this is probably “The Tinder Effect”) and put more effort into a second date and definitely like to make the second date an activity although this is something I have recently latched onto!!!
What do you find most attractive in a date? – Decisiveness, someone who can challenge me and intrigue me. It’s important that my date can have fun and not take themselves too seriously.
What do you find least attractive in a date? – Lack of passion about something… anything!
Best Ever Date – Most dates I have been on have been the classic drink and dinner, some great and some terrible. But the reality is it doesn’t matter where you are and what you are doing it’s all about who you are with. I loved when I was taken to the Tiroler Hut on Westbourne Grove because of the post dinner impromptu dancing in the restaurant with cow bells, lederhosen galore.
Worst Ever Date – Cross between a guy who talked none stop about football for 3 hours (I couldn’t get a word in) after asking me if i was interested in football (answer was a resounding no) and the guy who phoned from A&E to cancel the date because he’d broken both wrists when completely off his face the night before. Smooth.
Celebrity Crushes – I’m not really a celebrity crush kind of person but Colin Firth always ranked up there or is that just simply Mr Darcy?!! And who couldn’t love McDreamy?
