Pub Date – Look Number One
This is such a pretty dress I just had to feature it! Summer pub drinks are always a tricky date to dress for, because how dressy or casual do you go? You need to find that middle ground which is always easier said than done!
This outfit leans towards the smarter pub environment. The dress is pretty and summery, and with a pair of heels it could be a great dinner look but with the sandals and bag it keeps it nice and relaxed, while still looking like you’ve made an effort. The print is gorgeous and it’s the perfect length while sticking to the rule of legs OR boobs! The sandals are fantastic as a smart sandal option, nicer than a pair of flip flops and they work perfectly with summer dresses like this.
The necklace was just a nice way to add a bit of accessorising in without distracting from the dress, it’s simple but adds another element to break up all the pastel colours going on.
This a lovely, summery, romantic look and it’s always nice to make the most of pastel tones in the summer!
Pub Date – Look Number Two
This is a great way to go casual but still keep it looking stylish. Shorts are a relaxed, easy option and great for comfort, but just a simple detail like the material can ensure they’re still smart enough for a date. These are pretty and feminine and the double layer adds a nice finish but the dark shade keeps them from looking too ‘frilly’ for those of you who aren’t big on frills and florals!
The t-shirt is a great alternative to a plain white tee and the graphic print is a fun way of jazzing up a simple t-shirt. Wear this tucked into the shorts to show off the pretty ruching around the waistband.
I’ve kept the accessories neutral and matched them to the tan tones in the t-shirt to keep the outfit looking together. There’s something about tan and navy blue that looks really stylish and effortless, I’ve seen a lot of great outfits in these colours as they just seem to complement eachother really well. Brogues are a nice way to keep the outfit smarter while being comfortable and the sunglasses, however you wear them, are the perfect accessory for this look!
