Experimental Dater One – TOWTS
You might recognise him …. 🙂
He was the very first guy to volunteer to be one of my 30 Blind Dates, so it’s rather fitting that he’s also the first blog Contributor … (And yes, I did notice I didn’t make it as his Best Ever Date! 😉 )
Introducing The One with The Sign – Experimental Dater Number One!
Blog Name – TOWTS

Relationship Status – Single, for a year and a half.

Ideal Partner – My old co-workers were convinced I had a type (pretty and blonde) but that was just a lazy assumption. I’m actually more interested in women who are open-minded, sporty, don’t take themselves too seriously and are passionate about something. Intellectual curiosity and a desire to try new things are big bonuses. I usually fancy women who have something quirky about them and can hold their own in different social situations. I’m not too fussed about hair colour etc.. but she would have to be above 5’6″ as I’m quite tall. Speaking another language and having lived abroad would go down well. Oh, and I’m a sucker for nice legs!
Longest Relationship – Just over a year and a half.
Why do you think you’re single? – Because I’ve not been that fussed about finding a partner for a little while and have enjoyed being able to focus solely on myself. Being picky probably doesn’t help either! I also like my own space to a certain extent. Of the last two girls I fancied, one was actually engaged and the other turned out to be pregnant. Awkward.
Good Relationship Traits – Committed, good with compromise, and I love to spring surprises!
Bad Relationship Traits – Over-thinking, definitely! I also sometimes have a slight tendency to project things onto women, which is something I’m working on. I can also sometimes blow hot and cold for no apparent reason.
How would you describe the way you date? –
I used to be terrified of dates, but have recently come to realise that they’re great fun if you approach them with an open mind and a relaxed outlook. I like to do interesting things on dates, rather than just go for the bog-standard drinks/dinner. I’ve usually got an idea or two up my sleeve, and am quite laid back, though tends to be inversely proportional to how much I fancy the girl!
Which Experiments will you be taking part in?
Lots of them!
What do you find most attractive in a date? – A sense of adventure, intelligence, wit.
What do you find least attractive in a date? – Negativity, rudeness, B.O.
Best Ever Date – Crab & Winkle cycle followed by beach picnic and skinny dipping.
Worst Ever Date – Do speed dates count? If not, then I’d probably have to pick my first ever date – I literally walked into a lamppost.
Celebrity Crushes – Mila Kunis, Millie Mackintosh, Miranda Kerr, Rachel Riley.
I still need 29 more Experimental Daters to help with Phase Two of the blog so keep emailing in your applications – you can either contact me over email at thirty dates@hotmail.com or over Twitter @30Dates
Don’t worry if you’re not sure which Experiment(s) you’d like to take part in, we can sort that out at a later stage.
